Creamy, rich, and made with love from the heart of Palestine, Hummus is a Levantine dip, spread, or savory dish made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. The standard garnish includes olive oil, a few whole chickpeas, parsley, and paprika.

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried chickpeas (or canned for quick prep)

  • 2–3 garlic cloves

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • Salt to taste

  • Olive oil, paprika & parsley to garnish

👩‍🍳 How to make it:

1️⃣ Soak dried chickpeas overnight (or skip if using canned).

2️⃣ Boil until super soft & drain.

3️⃣ Blend chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, tahini & salt.

4️⃣ Add water gradually for creamy texture.

5️⃣ Serve in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil 🫒, sprinkle paprika 🌶️, and fresh parsley 🌿.

💡 Tip: For extra smooth hummus, peel the chickpeas before blending!
